Using a combination of technique and optics, this series emphasizes linear distortion and severance. The patterning creates two versions of the ‘moire’ effect, a visual perception that occurs when viewing a set of lines over top of another. The visual distinction creates a simple, yet complex relationship between the levels of each work. This series received recognition at the Made in North Carolina Awards in 2019.
